Digital Veneer Line

Our veneer line systems use Allen-Bradley 1395 digital armature regenerative drives which with the use of digital quadrature encoders allow the system to maintain velocity to .01% of commanded speed. These in conjunction with an AB 5/40 processor which controls all system logic sequencing and calculates system motor speed requirements gives you a totally digital system with comprehensive tuning and fault detection ability. Unlike most analog or "quasi-digital" systems currently in place, which may have as many as ten pots per drive converter and numerous pots in card rack, many of which require continual adjustment to maintain the the system, there are no potentiometers to be found in this system. The result is a true digital system where all parameters are absolute values entered via handheld terminal or computer interface.  Our systems come with AB panelview operator interface’s which allow for quick and easy tuning and maintence of the system.  Our drive diagnostics screen allows for you to see the status of the drives, or the fault codes without the need to purchase a handheld programmer.  The drive specs screen allows you to view the status and speeds of all of the trays in the system and adjust speeds and offsets easily
